AA MAXISEAL 99

2 COMPONENT WATERPROOFING SLURRY

DESCRIPTION OF USES
Maxiseal 99 is a cement based 2 component polymer modified waterproofing slurry. It is applied to concrete and mortar structures to prevent water infiltration. It is used for external and internal waterproofing, crack sealing, repair work and protection from frost and deicing agent.

Most suitable for the following waterproofing applications: watertanks, basements, flat-roofs, terraces and balconies, retaining walls, sea walls, etc.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Surface Preparation
Concrete, mortar and masonary surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil and loosely adhering particles.

Steel and iron surfaces must be free from scale, rust, grease and oil. Absorbent surfaces must first be thoroughly saturated with water before applying Maxiseal 99.

Mixing
Mix in a clean container by slowly adding the component B (powder) to the component A (liquid) and mix with a slow speed electric mixer. The consistency of the mix can be altered by reducing the amount of component A (liquid) to be used.

For a Slurry Consistency : Full quantities of both component A &                                             B are mixed together.
Tools used : Hard plastic bristle brush or broom.

For a Trowellable Consistency : Mix a full bag of component B                                                       (powder) to 90% of component                                                       A (liquid).
Tools used : Steel (notched) trowel.

Application
1) Whilst the substrate is still damp from saturation, apply the first coat of Maxiseal 99 with a hard plastic bristle brush or broom.
2) Rub the slurry well into the substrate.
3) Leave to harden for 6 to 8 hours.
4) Apply the second coat. Care must be taken not to damage the first coat.

Important Recommendations
1) Always apply at least 2 coats. 3 coats may be required in areas of extremely high infiltration.
2) Never apply more than 4 kg/m of Maxiseal 99 for one layer.
3) Absorbent surfaces must first be thoroughly saturated with water before applying Maxiseal 99.

Coverage : Approximately 2 kg/ m per coat
Pot Life : 30 minutes at 20C. Pot life will be shortened when temperature raises.
Component A (Liquid) : 2 kg / 5 kg
Component B (Powder) : 8 kg / 20 kg

AA WATERPROOFER

AA Waterproofer is a liquid heavy duty integral waterproofing admixture that acts both as a highly efficient plasticizer and waterproofing agent. It is produced specially for the complete and permanent waterproofing of mass and reinforced concrete structures, precast concrete, ready-mixed and other cement mixes. AA Waterproofer is chloride free, hence it will not cause corrosion to reinforcement steel and stressing wire.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Prepare the normal mix of ordinary Portland cement (BS 12) with the correct ratio of aggregates in the mixer. AA Waterproofer should be added to the gauging water at the rate of 500ml per 50kg bag of Portland cement, prior to its addition to the cement mix

AA Waterproofer will help reducing the water cement ratio by about 10 - 15% without affecting the workability and at the same time enable the concrete to achieve both higher compressive and flexural strengths and excellent water-tightness.

STIR WELL BEFORE USE
AA FLEXI-SEALER

A ready-mixed acrylic copolymer latex coating specially formulated for sealing cracks and joints on walls, ceilings and roofs by forming a tough continuous waterproof membrane. This thin membrane is exceptionally flexible, durable and weather resistant when dry.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces to be applied must be clean, sound, dry and free from grease, oil, and loosely adhering particles.

DIRECTION FOR USE
AA Flexi Sealer can be easily applied by using a brush or roller. On porous surfaces, dilute with 5% of water for the first coating. For the second coating, apply it undiluted. For optimum protection, a two coat application of AA Flexi Sealer is always recommended. Apply second coat as soon as first coat is tack free.

SUITABLE SURFACES
AA Flexi Sealer can be applied to concrete, brick, blockwork, asphalt, asbestos cement, natural stone, concrete roof tiles, cement render, roof-slates, iron, galvanized steel, etc.

COVERAGE
Each kg of AA Flexi Sealer covers approximately 2 to 3 sq.m per coat depending on the substrates.

COLOURS AVAILABLE
White, Red, Light Grey and Light Green
